Formula Challenge Rules
2021
1.0 Description
The Formula Challenge will be driven as part of the RACE CAR SERIES 2021.
In general, the technical regulations of the DMC apply with the deviations described below.
2.0 participants
All drivers can take part in the Race Car Series.
A DMC membership / license is not absolutely necessary, in this case the organizing club will charge an additional fee to insure the participants, a rating for SK West is not provided.
2.1 Mention
Entries for the individual races are to be sent directly to the organizer of the race. The closing date for entries is the Wednesday midnight before the race weekend.
2.2 Entry fee
The entry fee for adults is 25 euros.
The entry fee for young people under 18 years of age - 15 euros.
For double starters in other classes, the 2nd entry fee is € 15.
Drivers without a DMC license will be charged an additional insurance fee of € 5.
3.0 chassis and body
All chassis variants / manufacturers and self-made and all commercially available formula bodies that are available from specialist dealers are permitted.
3.1 Paintwork
The bodies must be painted, if possible, the original must be kept. A reference to the original design is expressly desired in order to reproduce a visually appealing driving image of the model vehicles. The issued start number fields must be used with the start number assigned to the driver. This is intended to underline the appearance and recognition value of the Race Car Series, just like in motorsport on a 1: 1 scale
4.0 engines
All 1-cylinder 2-stroke combustion engines with a maximum of 23ccm or 26ccm are permitted.
The models must be equipped with an intake noise filter and a noise-reducing resonance silencer, it does not matter whether the parts have a DMC number. have or not. The intake noise filters and resonance silencers must be available to everyone from specialist dealers and may not be modified due to their design. Vehicles that are too loud must be repaired or will be excluded from the race. (Decided by the host and / or the Race Car Series official)

All accessories and tuning parts available from specialist retailers are also permitted.
4.2 Refueling
If the final run lasts more than 25 minutes, refueling formula models is permitted.
4.3 Safety equipment
Front bumpers, brakes, engine switches, etc. must comply with the current DMC regulations 2021.
5.0 tires
Only tires or rims that are offered for the class are allowed. In the Formula Challenge all tires (diameter max. 145 mm / width front max. 64 mm - rear max. 82 mm including rim) or rims (diameter max. 120 mm) any chemical treatment of the tires is prohibited.
5.1 Rain tires
In rain or wet the choice of tires is free. Carrying and any use of tire lubricants or adhesives is strictly forbidden and leads to exclusion from the Race Car Series
6.0 racing mode
Saturday free training or training in groups, depending on the schedule and coordination with the other racing classes, you can drive at least 1 lead on Saturday.
There are at least 3 preliminary runs, of which the best is rated. The prelims are scored according to laps and time.
According to the preliminary ranking list, it is divided into sub-finals. The organizer reserves the right, depending on the number of participants, to adjust the duration of the sub-finals (15min) and (final 30min) to the schedule.
7.0 ratings
All starters with a DMC license receive points for the West Sports District Championship when they run in the Sports District West

8.0 schedule
Saturday: Depending on the number of participants, exact training times are determined by the organizing club, break regulations / rest periods must be observed. Sunday: driver briefing / preliminary runs / final runs / award ceremony (exact schedule depending on the organizing club / number of participants / weather conditions)
9.0 violations
Violations of the present regulations and unsportsmanlike conduct will be punished with disqualification for the run or the race or exclusion from the ranking.
10.0 Award ceremony
Trophies for P1-3, plus material prize from a raffle, for the participants who are on site at the time of the raffle.
